CITATION OF JOSEPH JIBUEZE, WINNER OF THE Judicial Reporting: PRIZE

Joseph Jibueze’s “How to revive the judiciary” is an enlightening report on the provisions of the Administration of Justice Act.

Revolutionary in scope, the act is designed to correct identified lapses in the dispensation of justice such as prolonged delays arising from injudicious restraints, uncontrolled appeals and questionable prosecutions. The report accords deserved attention to this piece of legislation and documents thoughts on how to strengthen its application to make it serve the cause of justice, rather than be fixated with technicalities that may amount to injustice.

Through this report, Jibueze is retaining his winning streak at the DAME, having won the Judicial Reporting Category consecutively for the past three years. He was a first runner up in the same category four years ago.

Jibueze, a Senior Correspondent with The Nation newspaper, holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State.
