CONSISTENT CHUKWUEMEKA EMENIKE

Winner, EDITORIAL CARTOONING, AT THE 24TH DAME

As the editorial cartoonist for 2015, Chukwuemeka Emenike is a three time winner. He first won the prize in 2003 whilst with Newswatch. He won it again in 2013 with National Mirror. Now he is winning it on the platform of the New Telegraph. His winning work is an irreverent reminder of Nigeria’s state of insecurity.

The Assistant Chief Cartoonist at New Telegraph Newspapers, Emenike is a 1993 graduate of Fine Art from Yaba College of Technology. He is a well exhibited artist having participated in 14 exhibitions in the last 19 years in Nigeria and in such countries as Croatia, Israel, Korea, Cameroon, USA and Brazil.
